1.) The topic is "RESOLVED: All nuclear weapons should be banned." You are negative. The affirmative claims that this resolution has to affirmed because current technology has yield no weapons of this nature. All current nuclear weapons are also made of non-nuclear parts. Where is the flaw?

2.) The topic is "RESOLVED: Socialism should be valued above democracy in the United States as a means to government." You are affirmative. The negative claims that democracy should be valued more because the United States has always practiced democracy. Since the United States is a strong nation, there is no need for socialism. What do you counter with?

3.) Your criteria is ulititarianism according to John Stewart Mill. Your opponent points out that John Stweart Mill used to write romance novels and had no real basis for his theories. Your response?

4.) The topic is "RESOLVED: Businesses ought to be responsible for society." You are affirmative. Neagtive claims that if the resolution was affirmed, society would be socialistic. Socialism is bad, they claim. How do you handle it?

5.) Your value in this debate is Liberty. Your opponent's value is Life. The opponent argues that if the means to achieve Liberty is unacceptable, the only choice left is to achieve Life. What is your reaction?

6.) The resolution is "When they are in conflict, the right to a free press is a higher priority than the right to a fair trial." You are the negative. The affirmative claims we should affirm the resolution because most Americans believe that we should. What do you counter with?

7.) You are negative. The topic is "The United States ought to value global concerns above it's own national concerns." The affirmative claims we need to affirm the resolution because it's the American way. Your response?

8.) In a debate round, your opponent claims that you have not fulfilled all of the four stock-issues which are: topicality, inherency, significance and solvency. They

further claim that because of this, they should win the round. Your response?

9.) Your opponent's critera is Maslow's Hierarchy. Your opponent values self-actualization. Your opponent claims that your value of Life is inferior because Maslow placed self-actualization at the top of his hierarhcy. What do you do?

10.) This is your cross-ex period. Below in the red is the question. The answer from your opponent is in the blue. What question should you ask next?

A: I claimed that freedom was bad and I did that.

A: It said bad things happen when people are free.
